Continue to the Pisac archaeological site. Guides from Peceros Expeditions, experts in directing international visitors in several languages, begin explanations.

See the Inca cemetery holding over 2,000 tombs. Examine the stonework in the terraces built into the slopes.

Walk through an Inca tunnel. Reach the religious section of the site.

Spend approximately 2 hours at this location. Guides provide full details on its historical functions.

Descend to the Pisac market. Allocate 20 minutes to view local goods.

Drive next to Urubamba. Stop for lunch, not covered in the package.

After the meal, proceed to Moray. This features a large depression with concentric terraces.

The design creates different climate zones at each level. Incas likely tested crop growth here.

Archaeologists suggest experiments in plant adaptation occurred. Observe the engineering in the walls and soil layers.

Move on to Maras town. Look over the salt pans below.

These consist of thousands of pools passed through families. Water from a spring carries salt, evaporated in the sun.

This method dates before Inca periods. The salt appears pink from minerals, unique in few global spots.

Drive to Ollantaytambo. Explore the village, unchanged much since Inca times.

Visit the Inca site. Climb to the Sun Temple atop the terraces.

Guides explain its role during early Spanish arrivals. Learn about defensive and ceremonial aspects.

Choose between two train companies: one provides basic travel, the other adds panoramic elements for views.

Arrive in Aguas Calientes at 8:45 p.m. Check into the hotel, such as Ferre Hotel for 3-star or El Mapi for 4-star.

A representative from Peceros Expeditions stays informed of the day’s positions.

Meals: dinner. Accommodation: hotel in Aguas Calientes.

Breakfast serves early at the hotel.

Explain religious structures and their meanings. Add details on Inca building techniques.

Use free time to absorb the setting. Or, if booked, hike Huayna Picchu mountain independently.

This optional path offers higher views. No guide included unless requested extra.

Return by bus to Aguas Calientes. Have lunch, not provided.

Depending on schedule, shop or see local attractions like a museum or thermal springs.

Board the Expedition train at 2:55 p.m. or 3:20 p.m. to Ollantaytambo.

Train follows the Urubamba River. Note narrow canyons and water flows.
